Spiritual Gifts, also called Charisms, are given by the Holy Spirit at baptism and confirmation.  These are given to us for the sake of others.  We are often energized when we use our gifts. 

799 – "Whether extraordinary or simple and humble, charisms are graces of the Holy Spirit which directly or indirectly benefit the Church, ordered as they are to her building up, to the good of men, and to the needs of the world."

A Spiritual Gifts inventory can help you identify your gifts.  

"It is most worthwhile to study the gifts and invite the Holy Spirit to manifest His presence in a variety of ways. We need to be empowered for the ministry of service that we may share in the mission of Jesus as bearers of the Spirit without measure." Fr. Peter B. Coughlin, "Understanding The Charismatic Gifts", 1998, p. 79.

Through prayer, people often discover how they are gifted to serve.  Simply pray, "Jesus, what are my gifts?"  Spend time reflecting, "when do I feel more alive?", 

You can also take a spiritual gifts inventory.  This is a simple test, your answers reflect where you are most comfortable serving.

St. Stephen's offers a Discover your Spiritual Gifts class.  This is an opportunity to walk through the process with a group.
